My wife and I first met Peter when we were looking for a rental in 2011. We are writing this letter to bring to your attention the outstanding work that was done by Peter Hirschhorn last autumn in assisting us with the sale of our mother’s home. Our mother passed away in September and had lived until then in the flood zone on a channel in south Freeport. Super storm Sandy ravaged most of the homes on east first street, including hers. We’d spent $30,000 in FEMA monies to redo the entire downstairs, but it wasn’t enough. The dock and bulkhead were damaged and we ran out of money to do those repairs. Even with these huge limitations, Peter efficiently and successfully managed the listing and sale of mom’s home. He held two open houses knowing that we had a very small window before cold weather would make this effort even harder. Within a matter of weeks, we had five offers, one of which Peter adeptly developed into a rewarding deal, given the outstanding repairs to the house. In early 2010, I was promoted within my company and transferred to a new location over 60 miles from my home.
